Thank God It's Friday

It’s Friday today and I’m basking in the knowledge of the freedom to do anything, spend the day my way. I’ve always felt the need to do something worthwhile in life but being a wife and a mother has always stopped me from achieving what I’ve always wanted to. But then, to fulfill my duties as a wife and mother also have been pretty satiating.

Many a times I’ve envied people for the freedom they have to switch jobs, or careers for the reason that I’ve always felt that I was cut-out for something else in life than where I am today but then this feeling was tossed when I saw there were so many people who were actually jealous of my life as well. A small family with a well behaved, decent daughter and a husband who’s very supportive. And that made me realize that one should value what one has in life rather than running after materialistic things, to which there’s no end.

Hence I’ve started revering in these small moments of happiness like this bright Friday morning. I plan to relax, go shopping, cook something special since cooking gives me immense pleasure, watch a movie or just spend time with family in front of the TV and enjoy these family time moments.

So, I’m going to the kitchen to cook a special breakfast and hope all you there would have a nice weekend too.
